About Dale -

Dale started playing piano when he was 9 years old and guitar when he was 11, and eventually won a scholarship for music in high school. Dale studied music at the Berklee College of Music and later at UMB Lowell. Although academically, Dale ended up pursuing non-music degrees and worked as a university archivist and later a kindergarten librarian in the Wellesley Schools, he never lost his love of writing music, recording, performing, studying and teaching guitar.

Dale has played in a variety of bands, from rock bands to small jazz combos, and with the birth of his daughters in 2000 and 2001, he embarked on an exciting musical adventure of playing children’s music around New England.  Releasing two children’s CDs, “Just Say Hello!” in 2003 and “Let’s Go!” in 2006, Dale still finds time to perform for large and small groups of children at libraries and larger venues.  Dale's music is available at iTunes.

In November of 2013, Dale released a new album for adults, "Daylight is Fading." This project enlisted the help of several amazing musician friends of Dale's and is now available at iTunes. The album has received many positive reviews.

In 2013, one of Dale's original arrangements was purchased by BBC Television in London, for the popular UK children's show - Dick & Dom's Hoopla!  In 2019, Dale was awarded the fist "Light the Spark Award" by the Medway School Board. It honors members of the community who make a difference in the life of a student with disabilities.

Dale continues to teach guitar (all levels), bass guitar, and ukulele and beginning-intermediate piano in Medway, Ma. He has also taught intro classes in ukulele and guitar through Medway's Community Education. He has been a teaching assistant in the Medway and Holliston Public Schools, and is also manager of a family oral history preservation site called Recorded Reflections. Dale continues to perform as a jazz guitarist, and as a member of the Beatles duo "Two of Us' with his bestie Steven Higgs.
